I’ll start with an apology. I AM SO SORRY ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE I JUMPED ON THE SCENE ALL EXCITED AND THEN I disappeared.
In all honesty, I was gone for 3 months on a europe/asia trip (which I’ll write about ! So exciting) and then…
Okay, I’ll admit it I might have chronic laziness syndrome.
(But come on guys I was on holidays here !!)
Anyway, with much persuasion and bugging from the lovely, non-lazy, motivated Talyssa and Siri, here I am.
Anyway, I thought long and hard about what I wanted my first post to be like.
Should I dive straight into my trip? There’s a lot of content there- french macarons, Italian men (ooft), korean clubbing, japanese sex toys-
Let me start then with something very central to my interests. Fashion.
If there’s one thing I learnt while I was in Paris ( I love Paris… ) is that true style is effortless.
And to define effortless in la belle France- ‘Parisian chic looks thrown-together, even if the look has taken hours to achieve.”- Ines de la Fressange
…and so I’ll share with you now, my key favourite item while I was overseas !
It goes without saying that you cannot survive winter without good pants, and my kenzo jeans (fall/winter 2013 collection) kept me warm and chic at the same time. What a bonus, especially in the fashion capital of France.
selfies in the change room ! Loving the pastel background too ha.
wearing: knitted scarf- Zara, oversize pullover- i-tokyo.me F/W 2013, Kenzo Jeans, sneakers- Nike Air.
street snaps ! It’s always important to take advantage of good lighting opportunities.
Wearing: knitted scarf- Zara, khaki coat- South Korea, bag- Givenchy Antigona large leather tote, Kenzo Jeans, shoes- Diana (Japan).
The secret to wearing something so EYE-catching (see what I did there ehehe) like these jeans is to keep everything else simple! I kept the rest of my outfits dark or neutral tones- mostly black and white, my favourite colour- so that the focus revolved around the somewhat hypnotic pattern of eyes.
All in all I consider them a very simple yet effective pair of statement jeans to spice up a casual outfit. And lucky me- as it was winter in the northern hemisphere then and winter here now, I can totally transition my wardrobe in Sydney. Bonus !
Casually strolling around the Arc de Triomphe effusively throwing french mannerisms left right and center (bonjour! c’est un poisson parfait hawhawhaw!)
Wearing: duo colour knitted scarf- Giordano Korea, high collar jumper- South Korea, Kenzo Jeans, black leather boots- South Korea.
Til later xo
