FML: Feeling Pink Like You

time and again

Holding onto these golden moments firmly in hand

Won’t you stay for just a little longer?

For springtime is as short and brief as your last visit…

Small flower buds making chains to catch whispers of our next meeting

To see you again makes me smile rosy hues

In the gentle breeze the flowers open showing Spring’s delight

Let’s enjoy each blossom cloud until the last petal falls

It’s beginning to be cherry blossom here in Tokyo and with the start of the warm season there is much anticipation for the once bare trees to be coated pink confetti once again. As quickly as the first flower blooms on their branches, these flower buds will last only for a brief time (around a week) and even quicker with the on-off rain and strong winds leaving more on the ground than on the trees.

So before that happens I’ve prepared to dress in theme before going sakura hunting around Tokyo or doing hanami picnics this year! Oversized dusty pink coats were a small trend piece last winter but I still enjoy wearing this antique rose colour which matches perfectly with the pink season – an aesthetic perfect for my kitsch taste habits.

What are your plans for Spring?

Until Next Time!

It is my dream to someday see the cherry blossom in Tokyo. I am sure it is a sight to behold. I adore your girly spring outfit. The bow tie blouse is just darling and those shoes though!!! You look fab babe. Enjoy. I am looking forward to just having sunny warm days.

How pretty. You look great! I saw a few pink blossomming trees in Florida a couple of weeks ago and couldn’t help myself either. They always remind me of living in Japan.

Portland has some cherry blossom goodness, as well: http://firedirectioncenter.blogspot.com/2007/03/pink-snow.html

But not as pretty as your wonderful dusty rose coat; it looks both cozy and stylish! If I could greet the spring looking as crisp as you do in your ensemble I’d be very happy; sadky, it’s warm boots and work clothes for me…

I am a huge fan of cherry blossom festival, I wish to see it someday myself! Experiencing Sakura festival will be a dream come true! I adore your outfit so much, fits the vibe perfectly! Btw where did you get the bow tie ribbon tie from, I’ve been searching for it since ages!
I hope you’re having a smooth sailing week! :)
