It only takes a moment
For your eyes to meet and then
Your heart knows in a moment
You will never be alone again
And that is all that love’s about
And we’ll recall when time runs out
That it only took a moment
To be loved a whole life long

I’m sure every person – whether single or taken – is feeling the love this month.
A bit unconventional, I’ve been reacquainting myself with my artistic side and rewatched Picnic at Hanging Rock and WALL-E, both movies coincidentally dealing with the theme of “love” in one way or another.
While WALL-E is quite well known, Picnic at Hanging Rock is an Australian horror mystery film and I really like the film’s horror romance visual style not only in the cinematography, but also in costuming. Thus, I’ve taken style pointers to influence my own style combining linen, lace and boots. I love it!
If you’re interested the story is about the disappearance of a group of schoolgirls and their teacher while taking a picnic in the outback on Valentine’s Day in 1900’s Australia, perfect for the v-day haters out there or any cinema loving buff.
How did you enjoy Valentine’s Day this year?
Until Next Time!

Gorgeously romantic! A perfect valentine, Siree. Sadly, I had to work, so I stopped and found a single rose for my Bride. And then we curled up on the couch and watched the ice dancing…
Thanks Chief!
Despite working it sounds like your V-Day was a nice evening together regardless :)
Ice skating is probably the thing I was watching during the Winter Olympics haha

I think Wall-E is an amazing movie that will never get old. Well, spending time watching movies on Valentines day is not a bad idea. You look so beautiful.

Love the romantic lace details, which to me seems quite suitable for the month of February. :) What a lovely poem! I love Wall-e the movie. I actually have been wanting to re-watch that one :)
